- It's great that Softwood still supports the amiga. I hope they can last
- and not fold up before the power amiga is released. However, I'm sure there
- is demand for footnotes in Final Writer.
-
- I would suspect that the vast majority of Amiga users are now uni students who
- first got a 500 in the late 80's as High School students. Any academic writing
- requires footnoting. (endnoting is sometimes a poor substitute but virtually anyessays or journal submissions need footnoting).
-
- I can't believe that we have gone over 10 years with only two amiga programmes
- supporting footnotes. (excellence and WordPerfect which have now both gone the
- way of the bullet).
-
- I've heard a rumour that it would be to hard to implement into Final Writer but
- that is nonsense. I'm sure you could hack the footer system to have a variable
- height off the bottom of the page for each individual page. Hack the endnote
- system to reset for each page. (All you would need is a couple of linked lists
- for each page) and voila Footnoting system!
-
- Please consider!
